Classes at SU centers are small and taught by distinguished local faculty and professionals who are approved by the appropriate academic departments at SU. In some instances, SU will also invite its own faculty and faculty from other U.S. institutions to teach abroad.

All SU Abroad students have remote access to Syracuse University's extensive online databases and e-journals. A tutorial for using these resources is available at the SU Library website.
The SU Florence in-house library has over 10,000 volumes and an extensive digital image library. SU Madrid students use the library of the Instituto Internacional. Students at other SU Centers have access to English-language university. In London, students use the prestigious Senate House Library, only 5 minutes' walk from the SU center.
There are no language prerequisites to apply to SU Abroad. That’s because there are options for students at every language level -- from beginner to advanced -- and language study is required at all levels.
Students can take courses at SU centers in English or the host country language; intermediate and advanced language students have the further option to combine classes offered at an SU center with study at an affiliated university (Options II and III in Spain, Italy, and France).
