ARC332 Sixteenth-Century Italian Architecture (Fall, Spring)

Major architects and theories of 16th-century architecture, with emphasis on the social and political backgrounds of the period, patronage, and the education of the architect. Cross-listed with HOA 323/ARC 632.

Prerequisite: ARC /CAS 134 OR HOA 105 OR equivalent introductory history of art or history of architecture course.

Course-related fee: A fee will be charged for Florence site visits (2018–2019 fee = $55).
