JAM280.2 Beginning Metalsmithing II (Fall, Spring)

Continuation of Beginning Metalsmithing I. Concentration on specialized area. Development of skills in specific areas of interest, such as overlay, etching, repousse, woodgrain technique (mokume), fabrication. Students may need or want to purchase materials more appropriate to individual selection (such as stones and extra metal for larger projects).

Pre-req: Consultation with instructor

Course-related fee: A fee will be billed from Syracuse to cover the costs of a tool kit, models, and/or studio supplies (2017–2018 fee = $175).
