PSC405 Politics of the European Union (Spring)

What sort of entity does Europe really want to become? What is at stake? Where does Maastricht stand? These and other issues examined including economic, monetary and social policies; political union; institutions, decision-making and the roles of EU institutions and member-states; and the relationship of the EU to non-member states. The course also considers Italy as a member of the EU.
