SPA480.68 Film, Memory and Human Rights

Taught in Spanish at the Universidad de Chile and may not be offered every semester. Students will learn to use film and memory as a source of study for history on traumatic events of the twentieth century. Film will be studied as a privileged media of contemporary society and as a vehicle of expression or construction of diverse collective memories, generally marginalized in Public History. Classes will combine group discussion with film screenings.
