FIA304 : Italian Arts from Medicis to the Futurists
Description:
Visual arts in relation to the broader cultural, historical and intellectual contexts. This course surveys the arts of Italy from the Early Renaissance to the early 20th century. Weekly site visits and required all-school field trips. A course-related fee will be billed from Syracuse (Spring 2008 fee = $165) for a day trip to Rome. Intended primarily for students with no art history background. Students may not enroll in both FIA 303 and FIA 301. Introductory Fine Arts Course. No previous art history study required.
