ARC536 : Italian Urbanism: 100 Cities
Description:
A survey of urban history dedicated to the exceptional legacy of Italian cities that considers questions of urban morphology, the shape and design of cities. Examines case studies from ancient, medieval, Renaissance, Baroque and modern history. A course-related fee will be billed from Syracuse for a day trip to Pienza/Montepulciano and site visits in and around Florence (2008-09 fee = $115). Cross-listed with FIA 501.
