Description:
This course examines the efforts at democratization in East Asia, including such early efforts as the May Fourth Movement in China (1920s-1930s) and the Taisho Democracy in Japan (1920s). Comparisons are made with current situations in Taiwan, Hong Kong and South Korea.Available Locations:
