Course Description

ETS301 : Creative Writing: Prose

Description:

This is a lively writing workshop with a strong literature component. Each class we discuss one piece of literature and two pieces of student writing. The course's focus is on your most immediate common concern: the confrontation of two cultures - your own and that of Italy. It seeks to improve your writing skills while deepening your sense of the culture that surrounds you here and the culture that has made you. The reading exposes you to a wide spectrum of writing styles and genres and to many of the best British and American authors of the nineteenth and twentieth centuries.
