DRA400.3 : Breaking the Mold: Women & Media Production in Britain

Description:

Course pivots around guest appearances by major figures from communications industry who share, discuss, and analyze their career profiles, struggles, and achievements. Explores the role of women as leaders in the cutting-edge industries involved with communication: drama, news, advertising, pop promos, etc. Looks at women as producers, directors, and writers—as molders of culture rather than objects within it—and explores how the work of women and their view of the world differs from men’s. Meets with WSP 400.3.
