Program Features

Special features of the Syracuse Beijing program:

  • Airport meet-and-greet: Every student is met at the airport by a member of the Syracuse Beijing staff
  • Intensive and non-intensive language tracks available
  • Field trips throughout the semester to famous sites around Beijing
  • Students typically live in single rooms with a private bath in a student dormitory
  • Non-credit internships and community engagement opportunities available:
    • BN Vocational School
    • Chi Heng Foundation
    • China Foundation Center
    • Lam Foundation China
  • Each semester starts with a theme-based, two-week traveling¬†Signature Seminar
    • Fall semester: Indigenous cultures of Yunnan and Sichuan provinces
    • Spring semester: China’s premier cities of Xi’an, Shanghai, and Nanjing
