Grants and Aid
SU Abroad is committed to making study abroad a reality for students from a variety of backgrounds. We offer a number of need- and merit-based grants and scholarships, as well as special incentives, for students participating in SU Abroad programs. The information below applies to the summer 2012, fall 2012, and spring 2013 terms.

NOTES FOR ALL STUDENTS

Financial need is determined based on the student's most current FAFSA and, for SU students only, the CSS PRO-FILE. Non-SU students must provide SU with access to their FAFSA for financial need review. To do so, log into your FAFSA account online and add Syracuse University (code 002882 on the FAFSA). Funds are limited, so you must meet all deadlines posted by the Office of Financial Aid and Scholarship Programs.

International students are not eligible for federally funded financial aid administered by the Syracuse University Office of Financial Aid and Scholarship programs, which includes Study Abroad Grants and Merit Scholarships. For more information, please visit the Office of Financial Aid and Scholarship Programs websiteInternational students may qualify for Named Scholarship awards, and in some cases for non-SU students, tuition differential grants.

Graduate students seeking financial aid assistance should consult with their home college or institution.
