Donatello 21

Painting, drawing, sculpture, restoration, and digital photography studios are located at Piazzale Donatello, 21, a five-minute walk from SUF’s Villa Rossa. This neighborhood, which lies between Via degli Artisti, Piazzale Donatello and Viale Don Minzoni, was specifically designed and designated as an artists district by the city of Florence in 1874. More than fifty art and architecture studios continue to be in active use today, including those owned by Syracuse University at N. 21, where SUF’s Studio Arts students work in large open spaces with abundant natural lighting.

In addition to the five undergraduate studios, Donatello 21 has a large, modern exhibition gallery and an outdoor garden.

The department coordinator’s office is located on the second floor of the building.

The printmaking studio is located across the street from the Villino building at Via della Robbia, 99.
