Learning Italian in a classroom setting is important, but actually speaking the language with mother-tongue Italians has an even greater impact on one’s communications skills. Spazio Conversazione is a forum for the exchange of language and culture in a relaxed and informal setting at Syracude Florence. Organized by the Italian Department, it meets most Wednesdays from 5:15 to 7 p.m., offering American and Italian university students the opportunity to meet together and converse on a range of topics while sharing interesting and enlightening elements of each other’s culture and local traditions around a buffet of light refreshments.
Special activities or events may also occasionally be organized in conjunction with the Student Life Office.
When: Wednesdays 5:15-7:00 p.m. (see calendar from your Italian professors for exact dates)
Where: Syracuse University Florence, Piazza Savonarola, 15
