Applying for 2011 study abroad programs? Don't miss the deadlines for these scholarships. Funding is limited, so apply early.

A variety of scholarships are available for the 2011 school year. Here's a summary of the awards. Apply early; these scholarships are highly competitive. You must apply and be selected for the awards.

• The Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship, for U.S. undergraduates currently funded by Federal Pell grants. Up to $5,000 for a semester.
• The Boren Scholarship, for US undergraduates and graduates studying in specific parts of the world eemed critical to U.S. national security. Up to $10,000 for a semester.
• The Freeman-Asia scholarship for U.S. undergraduates with demonstraded financial need studying in east or southeast Asia. Up to $5,000 for the spring semester.
