Fall Students Only: If there is even the slightest possibility that you will remain in Italy for the spring semester, please notify SU Abroad that you want to be considered as a full-year student. This means that we will get you an Italian visa for the full year. You can always change your mind and leave after one semester. However, it is extremely difficult to have your visa extended once you are in Florence and if you decide you want to extend to the full-year after you are already abroad, you may have to return to the US to apply for a new visa.
