Environment, Sustainability, and Policy in Costa Rica

Costa Rica is one of the most biodiverse countries in the world, and is a global leader in establishing policies to address some of the most pressing environmental issues facing our world today. These complex issues are shaped by both human and natural factors and interconnected with everything from the global economy to local cultural practices. Students who take this short course will meet with policy and civil society leaders to learn more about how Costa Rica has developed its policies, current circumstances, and future challenges. Mexico’s History, Culture, and Security

Become immersed in Mexico’s past and present to learn about it’s daily life, culture, and current security situation. Explore Mexico’s history through site visits at pyramids, museums, universities, Plaza de las Tres Culturas, Palacio de Bellas Artes, the Zócalo in the historical center of the city. Enjoy walking tours of various historical neighborhoods in Mexico City, including Roma, Condesa, and visit the homes of esteemed artist Frida Kahlo and Russian revolutionary Leon Trotsky in Coyoacán.
