She was working on teaching various languages (English, Italian, French, and Spanish) but in the end decided to specialize in Spanish as a foreign fanguage, teaching Spanish in Italy. She obtained a master&#8217;s degree in Spanish as a second language at Universidad Aut\u00f3noma de Madrid.&nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ever since she finished her studies, she has been collaborating with different institutions, such as Middlebury College in Spain, Southern Methodist University (SMU), Chapman University, ESCP Business School, and, lastly, Syracuse University. Also, she has a Master&#8217;s in Latin American Literature from the University of Maryland, USA.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She worked as a Spanish professor in different universities: University of Maryland, Alabama University, NYU, USAC, Alcalingua and Men\u00e9ndez Pelayo. Her research focuses on emotion regulation, cognitive biases, and affective disorders, and she has published several high-impact peer-reviewed articles in international journals. She has been involved in multiple predoctoral and postdoctoral funded research projects, with a particular emphasis on experience sampling methods to investigate emotional processes in daily life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dr. Boemo is currently a professor at the University of Alcal\u00e1. She has also taught courses related to Clinical Psychology (Assessment and Diagnosis, Psychological Treatment, and Personality) at the Complutense University of Madrid. In his efforts to promote the Spanish language, he published a work in 2002 focused on teaching Spanish as a second language through reading comprehension practice: \u201cUna desaparici\u00f3n misteriosa\u201d (Edinumen).<br>In addition to his teaching activities, he has concentrated his research on Spanish Golden Age literature, with a particular emphasis on literary collaboration and the application of digital humanities to its study. He has also worked as a journalist for EFE (Spanish News Agency) in South and Central America. As a translator, he has published several books on film and literary theory. In Madrid, he teaches Spanish language, Spanish literature and film at USC and Syracuse University. He has worked as a teaching assistant at Pontificia Universidad Cat\u00f3lica de Chile revising subjects related to the development of modern society and culture, philosophical anthropology, and folklore. He has also taught as a university professor at Universidad Europea de Madrid and Universidad Polit\u00e9cnica de Madrid, teaching diverse aspects of the Sociology of Sports to undergraduate students, and as an invited professor at Universidad Austral de Chile, as teacher of survey methodology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>While he has also had professional non-academic experience in the areas of Education, Culture, Project Management, and Media, his areas of academic interest have been the Sociology of Martial Arts, Sport Disability Studies, employment and volunteering in the sports sector, East Asia, museography and heritage studies. Her academic interests include international relations theory, global governance, and the role of emerging powers in reshaping the international order.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She is passionate about fostering critical thinking and cross-cultural understanding in the classroom. He is particularly interested in four disciplines: social psychology, political psychology, cross-cultural psychology, and emotion. For the last 10 years, Dr. Fern\u00e1ndez Dols has taught social psychology and political psychology to European undergraduate students, cross-cultural psychology to U.S. undergraduate students, and emotion to graduate students at universities in both sides of the Atlantic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dr. Fern\u00e1ndez Dols&#8217; research focuses on facial expression and everyday conceptions of emotion in different cultures.
