{"id":2230,"date":"2016-11-02T11:41:42","date_gmt":"2016-11-02T11:41:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/suabroad.syr.edu\/madrid\/?page_id=2230"},"modified":"2025-06-30T11:13:22","modified_gmt":"2025-06-30T11:13:22","slug":"student-safety-requirements","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/suabroad.syr.edu\/madrid\/student-life\/health-and-wellness\/student-safety-requirements\/","title":{"rendered":"Safety Requirements"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3>In order for Syracuse Madrid to support you as fully as possible, <strong>you have the responsibility to:<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>maintain a working cell phone that can make and receive calls at any time\n<ul>\n<li>provide Student Life staff with your working cell number<strong> within one week of arrival<\/strong> in Madrid<\/li>\n<li>fill out the <a href=\"https:\/\/syracuseuniversity.qualtrics.com\/jfe\/form\/SV_6Lu9cVAlPDSRFgF\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">number change form<\/a> if you get a new number (Spanish or otherwise) during your time abroad (this can also be found on the Syracuse Madrid app!)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>inform Student Life staff whenever you<strong> spend the night outside Madrid<\/strong> by filling out the <a href=\"https:\/\/syr-sa.terradotta.com\/index.cfm?FuseAction=Abroad.ViewLink&amp;Link_ID=5F228DD4-5056-BA2E-6FD20FA9D605B5CB\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Travel Registration Form<\/a><\/li>\n<li>check your syr.edu e-mail frequently, and <strong>be responsive to any requests<\/strong> that we might make to ensure your security<\/li>\n<li>have access to the Syracuse Madrid emergency &amp; resource numbers, found on our guide on the Guidebook app<\/li>\n<li>program a number to contact &#8220;In Case of Urgent Support&#8221; into your cell phone.
