Instructor Ethnography and Culture in Design

Syracuse University in Florence has an opening for an instructor to teach a course on Ethnography and Culture in Design in the Spring 26 semester. The ideal candidate has experience teaching in a US Higher Ed Institution and professional design experience. The course is project-oriented and introduces students to design solutions which are based on insights into people’s natural behavior, culture, and environment. Students in this course are encouraged to carry out ethnographic field research in various settings and contexts to analyze and understand how people live in Florence, utilizing documentation and design research methods.
