This course examines various classic and contemporary anthropological perspectives on religion, framing some key theories and their implications. In particular, it explores the results of the meeting between local religions and orthodoxy of traditional religions (mainly Christianity). It also offers an exploration of these issues through ethnographies in different cultural and geographical contexts. (SOL 160A)
