Accommodations for Students with Disabilities While Abroad
The Accommodations for Students with Disabilities questionnaire is one of your required post decision items found on your OrangeAbroad application portal. Students who wish to inform Syracuse Abroad of any disability in which they plan to receive accommodations during their time abroad must follow the instructions located on this questionnaire.
Disability Accommodations may include supportive measures that address the following:
- Classroom accommodations for learning disabilities
- Mobility-related accommodations for physical disabilities
- Housing-related accommodations which address access needs relative to the student living environment
Disability-Related Housing Accommodations
Students requesting disability-related housing accommodations should specify such on their Accommodations for Students with Disabilities questionnaire. They will be required to provide documentation and meet with an assigned Access Counselor at Syracuse University Center for Disability Resources (CDR). The approval process for disability-related housing accommodations is managed by a team of Access Counselors at CDR, who makes the final determination on approving student requests.
