ITA315 Italian Practicum I (Fall)

Required of all students accepted to Intensive Language Program at the University of Florence. Reviews major grammatical structures, prepares students for interactive dynamics of Italian language classroom; develops a richer vocabulary through newspaper and magazine articles.

The main objective of this intensive Italian language course is to prepare students to study language and culture at the Centro di Cultura per Stranieri and to qualify for the placement examination students will take on the first day of the program. Special attention is given to syntax, written composition, idiomatic expressions, pronunciation and oral reports.

Prerequisite: ITA 202 or four semesters of college-level Italian.
