What You Need to Know
Course offerings at SU Florence are extensive. Our academic programs include: Architecture, Art History/Fine Arts, Humanities, Italian Language, Studio Arts, and Women’s and Gender Studies. A new Management/Arts Management component is also being offered. Both Architecture and Fine Arts also offer graduate programs.
Expect to be deeply engaged with your studies and host culture. Field study and site visits within Florence and throughout Italy are integral to the academic program, and your home-stay will round out both your personal and educational experience. There are options for all language levels, and intermediate and advanced Italian language students may take courses at the University of Florence. Consider supplementing your academic program with one of over 30 internships.
The Campus
The SU Florence Center's campus is located on historic Piazza Savonarola and contains classrooms and lounges, a renowned library (the largest English-language collection in the city), a garden, a caffe bar, and computer cluster with Internet capability. Syracuse art and architecture studios are located nearby at Piazzale Donatello.
