Allison Weber

Allison serves as the Assistant Director of Business Operations managing the business office services. In this role, Allison provides leadership to Business Operations Specialist Team who is responsible for many functions including communication related to cost of attendance for study abroad programs, student & partner billing, accounts payable, administration of financial aid & bursar functions, work study hires and support to other teams as needed on operational matters.

Allison reports to the Director of Global Operations and helps guide processes related to housing, program fees, scholarships, and memorandums of understanding for Syracuse Abroad in which she liaises with the campus partners and collaborates with Syracuse Abroad Units.

Before this role, Allison served her community for over 16 years as the Town Clerk of the Town of Manlius. Allison was very active in her professional organizations serving as the President of the Onondaga County Town Clerks Association, Communications Chair and District Director for the New York State Town Clerks Association and a Public Relations & Marketing Committee Member for the International Institute of Municipal Clerks.

Allison holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Le Moyne College. She has also earned her Certified Municipal Clerk designation from the International Institute of Municipal Clerks and her Registered Municipal Clerk designation from the New York State Town Clerks Association.

Josh Boehme

Josh serves as Syracuse Abroad’s Business Office Specialist within the Business Office. He assists with Accounting, HR and Business office needs for the Syracuse Abroad office and staff at our overseas centers.

Prior to his current position, Josh worked in corporate finance at Monro Inc. Josh holds a Bachelor’s degree in Broadcasting  from SUNY Oswego and a Master’s degree in Communications from Newhouse at Syracuse University. Josh is born and raised in Rochester, NY.

Bobbi Claps

Bobbi serves as Syracuse Abroad’s Senior Accountant within the Business Office.

Prior to her current position, Bobbi worked as an Accountant for Syracuse University Press and other local non-profit organizations. Bobbi holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration –  Accounting from American University in Washington D.C.

Kelly serves as the liaison between Syracuse Abroad and the Office of Budget and Planning.

Marisa Lostumbo

As the Functional Business Analyst for Syracuse Abroad, Marisa’s primary responsibility is maintaining the Syracuse Abroad systems and managing technology and data needs for the organization. She attended Ithaca College where she earned a bachelor’s degree in Sport Management and a minor in Legal Studies. Born and raised in Syracuse, NY, she began working for the University in 2011 and has been with Syracuse Abroad since 2014.

Shukhrat Aminov

Shukhrat serves as the Director of Global Operations. He is responsible for overseeing all non-academic operational issues at Syracuse Abroad and our centers abroad. His scope therefore is supporting our centers in the areas of budget/finance, human resources, IT/data, legal, facilities, agreements, and other operational areas. Within Syracuse Abroad, Shukhrat is responsible for the direct supervisory responsibility for Assistant Director of the Business Office, Senior Budget Analyst, Senior Accountant and Functional Business Analyst positions.

Shukhrat brings more than a decade of operations management experience to Syracuse Abroad, some of which was within international contexts. His qualifications include budget management, administration, strategy development and implementation, project management, and asset management. He has completed Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification. Prior to joining Syracuse Abroad, Shukhrat served as the Regional Chief Operating Officer for Western & Central New York region of the American Red Cross, where he was responsible for overseeing all administrative and business functions for a team that provided humanitarian services for a population of more than 4 million individuals. Some of Shukhrat’s past experiences include managing complex humanitarian aid operations in post-Tsunami Indonesia and supporting humanitarian efforts in post 9/11 Northern Afghanistan.

Courtney Eppel

As a member of the Syracuse Abroad Business office team, Courtney serves as the Student Records Specialist maintaining and reconciling student records along with providing registrar support. She has previously served as the advisor for the Exploring Central Europe and as the Florence program’s visa coordinator.

Courtney is an alumna of the SU Florence studio arts program. She holds a BFA in Painting, and an MA in Museum Studies from Syracuse University.
