Taught in Spanish at the Pontificia Universidad Catolica and may not be offered every semester. This course introduces the student to the concepts and language of geodemographics in order to understand the phenomena of population distribution and concentration due to socioeconomic and cultural processes. We discuss the consequences of great demographics problems, such as the evolution of demographics, social and economic imbalances, and migrations. The course also provides knowledge and exercise of key demographic indicators, analysis sources and representation through graphs and thematic maps. (UC code: GEO 2003)
