Taught in Spanish at the Pontificia Universidad Catolica and may not be offered every semester. The aim of this course is to introduce students to the current developments in methodology and qualitative techniques, through a review of the qualitative hypothesis and the aspects of this hypothesis that are most pertinent and most used in political science research. By means of this review, the intended goals are: (I) to provide the student with a theoretical and a practical knowledge in order to devise qualitative research designs that are relevant to the problems, objects and fields of study of the different areas of political science; and (II) to offer the student the available qualitative research methods and skills for the implementation of the previously mentioned research designs.
