Taught in Spanish at the Pontificia Universidad Catolica and may not be offered every semester. This course is an overview of the two regimes of government that led the country between 1891 and 1973 (parliamentary and presidential), analyzing their characteristics in order to clarify their differences from the models that inspire them. At the same time, we will study the different factors that caused the final breakdown of these regimes, looking at length at the party system that existed in each regime and the influence they had on their respective crises.
