This course is an introductory study of the urban problem, from the point of view of geography. Topics include: spatial and temporal connotations of a city, urbanization and historical evolution of the cities, the formation of cities in Spain, Chile, and colonial Latin America, migration and city growth, urban geography, contemporary problems.
