IMPORTANT: Programs that include classes at local universities such as Universidad Autónoma de Madrid may have different teaching, break, exam periods, and program start and end dates. Start dates may conflict with the Signature Seminar. These dates may be subject to change pending publication of the local university academic calendar. Syracuse Abroad publishes such dates as soon as they are made available. Students then receive a confirmed, detailed program calendar upon arrival abroad. Semester break: October 30 – November 2
Makeup classes (Monday schedule): Friday, November 20
Final exams: December 10-15

Spring 2027
All students arrive in Madrid: January 13
Mandatory orientation in Madrid: January 14-15
Classes begin: January 18
Semester break: March 19-March 29 *
*Only homestay students must vacate their homes for the duration of the semester break period.
Makeup classes (Monday classes): Friday, April 16th
Final exams: April 23-27
Program ends: April 28*
*Students are expected to stay in Madrid until they have completed all academic commitments.
