Learning Italian in a classroom setting is important, but actually speaking the language with mother-tongue Italians has an even greater impact on one’s communications skills. Spazio Conversazione is a forum for the exchange of language and culture in a relaxed and informal setting at Syracuse Florence. Organized by the Italian Department, it meets once a week in the late afternoon, offering American and Italian university students the opportunity to meet together and converse on a range of topics while sharing interesting and enlightening elements of each other’s culture and local traditions around a buffet of light refreshments.
Special activities or events may also occasionally be organized in conjunction with the Student Life Office.
When: Once a week; see calendar from your Italian professors for exact day, time, and location.
Where: Syracuse University Florence, Piazza Savonarola, 15
