Study abroad involves some big lifestyle changes, but that doesn’t mean your wellness habits need to fall by the wayside abroad. We’ll shine the spotlight on the new era of physical and emotional integration that has been generated by your altered environment. These activities will help you maintain or cultivate an active and healthy lifestyle abroad as you learn about beneficial dietary choices, play sports, and more.

The Health & Well-Being stamp category includes, but is not limited to, the activities described below. You’ll find possible examples of some of the many events organized by Syracuse Madrid; however, if you’re interested in local gyms or other ways to get active and stay healthy, stop by the Student Life Office. soccerPick-up Soccer

Syracuse Madrid offers the opportunity to play soccer twice a week on a local soccer field we reserve just for our program!


Yoga Workshop

Yoga is an ancient art that originated in ancient India. It is based on a system of harmonizing the body, mind, and spirit. Practicing yoga consistently can lead to a sense of peace and well-being. Syracuse Madrid lends students the opportunity to give it a go!


Flamenco Workshop

Flamenco is a type of Spanish dance music characteristic of the Romani people in Andalusia and well known all over the world.

This is your opportunity to learn how to clap in the flamenco style, as well as some basic steps in flamenco dance.

Escape Room

As you may know, an escape room is a physical adventure game in which players are locked in a room and have to use elements of the room to solve a series of puzzles and escape within a set time limit. You’ll have a blast trying to “escape” with your classmates.
