For problems/delays/emergencies in transit: If participating on a group flight (Florence, London, Madrid, Strasbourg) call Advantage Travel in Syracuse: (315) 471-2222 or (800) 788-1980, as their phones are monitored during group departure days and weekends. Santiago suggested flight students, call GT Tours: (305) 436-0933.

If you are not on a group flight, specific contact instructions are available on your travel memo in your OrangeAbroad portal.

For problems/confidential counseling after arrival: Students should contact the student services advisor at their program location. When appropriate, medical referrals will be made.

For problems a student cannot resolve on-site: Parents should call the main Syracuse Abroad office: 1 (800) 235-3472 or (315) 443-3471 for additional assistance.

For emergencies abroad after hours: Center students should call the Syracuse center emergency cell phone; or call for medical transport if needed, and then contact their center staff. World partner, summer, and short-term students should contact their site staff or program leader, or medical transport if needed, and then their key contact person.

For emergencies that happen at home, requiring student involvement: Parents/family members should call the main Syracuse Abroad office: 1 (800) 235-3472 or (315) 443-3471 to reach Syracuse Abroad staff on-call for emergencies.
