PSY395 Abnormal Psychology (Fall, Spring)

The purpose of this course is to give you an understanding of the biological, cultural, and political issues alive within the field of abnormal psychology. We will also discuss issues with respect to psychological assessment and therapeutic treatment of abnormal behavior. Topics include stress and adjustment disorders, mood disorders and suicide, sexual variants, abuse and dysfunctions, and schizophrenia and delusional disorders.

Pre-req: PSY 205, PSY 209, or equivalent introductory psychology course. A second psychology course is recommended.
