Note for students enrolled at a Spanish university: The academic calendars at Spanish universities may differ from the Syracuse Madrid academic calendar and may require additional housing days. This billing may occur after the program has begun, depending on when the number of additional days is determined.

What is included in my program fee?

The program fee includes housing, some meals (14 meals per week for those in host families, 21 meals per week for those in El Faro residence hall, and 20 breakfasts plus 20 additional meals per month at Hubr residence hall), a public transportation allowance, general field trips open to all students, cultural activities,  Syracuse Abroad insurance, membership to International SOS, pre-departure meetings, orientation abroad, and activities and services not covered by tuition and for which a which a separate fee is not charged.

Course fees

Some courses carry mandatory course fees. These fees are course-specific and pay for special supplies, lab fees, site entry fees and/or field trips. Course fees are invoiced on the bill following registration.

Financial Aid, Grants, and Scholarships

Syracuse University has generous financial aid policies. Aid, grants, and scholarships are available. Syracuse Abroad also maintains an extensive list of outside scholarships available to its students.
