*Students who choose to live in the El Faro residence hall will pay an additional $2,000 in their program fee, and their estimated personal expenses will be $6,120 (2017-18 estimate).

Note for students enrolled at a Spanish university: The academic calendars at Spanish universities may differ from the SU Madrid academic calendar and may require additional housing days. This billing may occur after the program has begun, depending on when the number of additional days is determined.
What is included in my program fee?
The program fee includes pre-departure meetings, orientation abroad, the pre-semester Signature Seminar (covers transportation, hotel accommodations with breakfast, and some group meals), cultural activities, housing in private homes where students receive breakfast and dinner with their hosts 7 days per week (14 meals weekly), a transportation allowance, general field trips open to all students, International Student I.D. card, and activities and services not covered by tuition and for which a which a separate fee is not charged.
Some courses carry mandatory course fees. These fees are course-specific and pay for special supplies, lab fees, site entry fees and/or field trips. Course fees are invoiced on the bill following registration.
