Teaching with SU Abroad
Classes at SU centers abroad are largely taught by local faculty, whose CVs and syllabi are carefully reviewed and approved by the appropriate academic departments at Syracuse University. While most SU Abroad teaching staff are on the faculties of universities, others are noted professionals in their fields.
Syracuse University Faculty: Options to Teach Abroad
Over the past 25 years, Syracuse University faculty have had opportunities to teach abroad at SU overseas centers during the semester or during the summer. In recent years, there have been fewer semester-length assignments abroad for Syracuse faculty and a steady increase in SU summer and short-term faculty-led programs. These shorter experiences (typically from three to eight weeks for summer programs and from one week to two weeks for short-term programs) can be based at SU overseas centers or may travel to various other locations across the globe.
