Thank you for deciding to apply to a Syracuse University Abroad program! We are so excited for you to join us – whether you’ve chosen to apply to attend a center-based program, one of our world partner programs, a summer program, or a short-term program. Deadlines for SU Abroad programs are: October 1 for spring semester programs, October 15 for spring short-term programs, February 10 for summer programs, and March 15 for fall semester and short-term programs.
Step 1: Find the program you’d like to apply to – visit the destinations page of your choice, and then click on the appropriate program title to begin the application process.

Step 2: Once you’ve confirmed that your chosen program is the one you’d like to apply to, click on the “Apply Now” button to create your application
Step 3: Syracuse University student applicants will indicate that they are a registered user in the SU system and will log into the application site using their NetID. First time visiting student applicants will indicate that they are not a registered user at SU and that they have not received login credentials. You will then need to create an account in order to return to the application site and login.
Step 4: Once you have logged into the system, you will need to search for your program again, click “Apply now” a second time, and select the semester you would like to study abroad
Step 5: You will be directed to your program application page. Please complete all items in the checklist on the right-hand column of this page. Once all items have been completed and/or received by SU Abroad Admissions staff (as indicated by a check mark in the box under the “received” column), your application will be ready for review and an Admissions Counselor will be in touch with you shortly thereafter with your decision.
Step 6: Once you receive a decision via email, you must log back into the system and follow the directions to submit the required post-acceptance forms. Again, you must follow the application checklist on the right-hand side to ensure that all the necessary materials have been submitted and/or received by SU Abroad Admissions staff.
