Student Services Manager

The Student Services Manager is a full-time position and reports to the Assistant Director for Student Services.

MAIN ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Housing

  • Coordinate housing team.
  • Oversee search of new housing facilities, apartments, and homestays.
  • Supervise RAs.

Student Life

  • Assist the Assistant Director for Student Services in planning the Orientation schedule and supervise students’ arrival.
  • Supervise Student Life front facing office.
  • Supervise Extracurricular Student Activities and Events for the semester.
  • Evaluate students’ life events and activities and always looking for new and integrative activities.
  • Plan and supervising activities assessment.
  • Supervise reporting and data entry in relation to students’ incidents.
  • Assist with disciplinary procedures.

Emergencies

  • Supervise Health and Wellness team.
  • Work together with and under the supervision of Assistant Director to handle all emergencies and related reports.
  • Serve as a part of emergency team.

Qualifications, Experience and Skillset

  • Italian citizen or legal work permit for Italy.
  • Experience living, working, or studying abroad, preferred.
  • Knowledge of study abroad programs, international education and the U.S. academic system preferred.
  • Experience working with groups of US students.
  • Excellent oral and written Italian and English language skills.
  • Exceptional, demonstrated organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, adapting to high-pressure temporary peaks in workload.
  • Previous experience in a similar role preferred.
  • Must be able to reach Florence city center within 30 minutes in case of student emergency.
  • B.A. required; M.A. preferred.
