The Student Services Manager is a full-time position and reports to the Assistant Director for Student Services.
MAIN ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Housing
- Coordinate housing team.
- Oversee search of new housing facilities, apartments, and homestays.
- Supervise RAs.
Student Life
- Assist the Assistant Director for Student Services in planning the Orientation schedule and supervise students’ arrival.
- Supervise Student Life front facing office.
- Supervise Extracurricular Student Activities and Events for the semester.
- Evaluate students’ life events and activities and always looking for new and integrative activities.
- Plan and supervising activities assessment.
- Supervise reporting and data entry in relation to students’ incidents.
- Assist with disciplinary procedures.
Emergencies
- Supervise Health and Wellness team.
- Work together with and under the supervision of Assistant Director to handle all emergencies and related reports.
- Serve as a part of emergency team.
Qualifications, Experience and Skillset
- Italian citizen or legal work permit for Italy.
- Experience living, working, or studying abroad, preferred.
- Knowledge of study abroad programs, international education and the U.S. academic system preferred.
- Experience working with groups of US students.
- Excellent oral and written Italian and English language skills.
- Exceptional, demonstrated organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, adapting to high-pressure temporary peaks in workload.
- Previous experience in a similar role preferred.
- Must be able to reach Florence city center within 30 minutes in case of student emergency.
- B.A. required; M.A. preferred.
