BA in Foreign Languages and Literature, University of Pisa; MA in Literary and Translation Studies, University of Pisa. Isabella Martini has been professionally active as a translator, editor and literary agent. She has worked as Adjunct Professor of English Translation at the University of Cagliari and at SSML Carlo Bo in Florence, and as Adjunct Professor of English Language at the University of Florence. She has also taught courses in publishing, communication, and visual studies. She has been a consultant for academic writing and soft skills training and development, and she has been part of the MIT-based U. lab program for system leadership since 2016. She is currently working on a project to innovate teaching strategies through the application of Theory U and SPT tools. Her areas of research and academic publication have included translation studies, postcolonial studies, literature of English-speaking countries, and Anglo-Canadian literature, with a specific focus on the short story. Martini teaches writing and English textual studies at Syracuse Florence.
