After university, he studied with master craftsmen in Florence and then spent a few years with a master goldsmith and another one and a half years tailoring and making leather goods. With the help of the masters he worked with, he opened a small atelier. As a foreigner, he realized that Florence lacked a store for African people. Luloloko recalls that he would often meet African women who asked him to create clothes for them. In 2016, he opened his own business, first in Piazza Alberti and then in Borgo Pinti. His creations are beautifully crafted with traditional African fabrics. Luloloko started collaborating with local associations implementing social projects, and he opened his atelier activities to migrant women (mainly asylum seekers). Recently, he took part in the “Woman’s Value” project with the association Arcobaleno as well as YMCB with Oxfam Italia. His work and the atelier are now closely linked and are associated with social projects. Luloloko has become “the person” to contact for migrants.
